Heat Treatment and Processing Capabilities

With state-of-the-art equipment, we can also provide products with specific heat treatments (stress relieving, annealing, normalization, quenching, and tempering). Additionally, rounds can be supplied with magnetic annealing. Our hot rolled round bar and cold rolled options ensure flexibility for various needs.

For custom cut requirements, we offer tailored solutions to meet specific dimensions. Our hot rolled steel round bar meets ASTM A36 specifications, which ensures excellent weld ability and makes it ideal for general purpose use. The a36 hot rolled steel we provide is suitable for a variety of applications, including structural and fabrication projects.

High Carbon and Alloy Steel Round Bars

Fortis Metal N.A. Inc. also specializes in high carbon and alloy steels, providing materials with superior strength and durability. Our hot rolled and cold roll steel products come in various sizes of steel to cater to diverse requirements. The rolled steel round bar we supply is available in commercial bar lengths of RL 12FT, with fixed lengths available upon request.

Ground bars can be supplied with tolerances up to IT6; for peeled and cold drawn rounds, the tolerance is h9. Our steel round bar offerings include both mild steel and high carbon and alloy options, ensuring we meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

Custom Carbon Steel Round Bar Options

We supply carbon steel round bars on request, bars can be demagnetized to achieve residual magnetism up to ±10 A/cm (±12 Gauss). This is particularly useful for specialized applications requiring minimal magnetic interference.

We offer automatic ultrasonic control on each individual bar as well as surface inspections, both conducted by our highly skilled personnel. Our inventory includes carbon and alloy steel bars, ensuring a broad selection for different industrial applications.
