Fortis Metals produces cold-drawn hexagonal bars sourced from either coil or bar, with available sizes ranging from 3/16″ to 4″.
These bars are typically supplied in their natural state. However, with state-of-the-art equipment and qualified personnel, we can also provide products with specific heat treatments (stress relieving, annealing, normalization, quenching, and tempering) and automatic ultrasonic control on each individual bar.
Commercial lengths are available in RL 12FT, with fixed lengths available upon request.
Some of the common steel grades we supply include:
- Non-alloy structural steels: S235JR, SAE 1018
- Free-cutting steels: 11SMn30, 11SMn37, 11SMnPb30, 11SMnPb37
- Steels for quenching and tempering: C45
- Stainless steels: 303, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 430F
